I have a clear conscience – Hermoso left out of Spain Euros squad

Spanish defender Mario Hermoso has been left out of the Spain squad for the upcoming European Championships.

The 25-year-old Atletico Madrid player has had a strong season in La Liga, but has been overlooked by coach Luis Enrique for the tournament.

Hermoso has expressed disappointment at being omitted from the squad, but insists he has a clear conscience about his performances.

He said, “I have given my all this season and I am proud of what I have achieved. I have a clear conscience and will continue to work hard to improve.”

The defender has been capped 5 times for Spain, and was hoping to add to his international experience at the Euros.

Despite his disappointment, Hermoso has vowed to support his teammates and cheer them on from the sidelines.

Spain will face tough competition in Group E, as they take on Sweden, Poland, and Slovakia in the group stage.

Coach Luis Enrique has opted for a mix of experience and youth in his squad, with veterans like Sergio Ramos and Jordi Alba included in the final squad.

Hermoso will now have to focus on his club career with Atletico Madrid, as he looks to continue his development and push for a place in the Spain squad for future tournaments.
