I have a clear conscience – Hermoso left out of Spain Euros squad
Spanish defender Mario Hermoso has been left out of Spain’s squad for the upcoming Euros, but he insists that he has a clear conscience about his performance.
Hermoso, who plays for Atletico Madrid, has had a solid season with his club and was hoping to make the cut for the national team. However, he was not included in the final squad announced by coach Luis Enrique.
Despite the disappointment, Hermoso remains positive and says he will continue to work hard and prove himself on the pitch.
He said, “I have a clear conscience about my performances this season. I have given my all for my club and I will continue to do so. It’s up to the coach to make the final decision, and I respect that.”
Hermoso’s omission is seen as a surprise by many, but he remains focused on his goals and is determined to bounce back from this setback.
He added, “I will use this as motivation to work even harder and show everyone what I am capable of. I believe in my abilities and I will not let this setback define me.”
Although he will not be part of the Euros squad, Hermoso has vowed to support his teammates and cheer them on from the sidelines.
